Alerts facility through SMS or Email::

Overview::

Alert(s) are messages that are sent to the mobile equipment or email id of the customer on occurrence of certain events.

The events are classified into the following categories.

(I) Alerts related to Operation of Account

    1. Large Amount Transaction - Operative Accounts

    The customer will receive a message by SMS / Email, if the transaction amount exceeds the amount prescribed by the customer.

    2. Specified high balance - Operative Accounts

    The customer will receive a message by SMS / Email, if account balance exceeds the limit prescribed by the customer.

    3. Specified low limit - Operative Accounts

    The customer will receive a message by SMS / Email if the account balance goes below the limit prescribed by the customer.

    4. Deposit Maturity Alert - Term Deposit Accounts

    The customer can schedule the alert to receive a message by SMS / Email before the specified no. of days of maturity of the term deposit.

(II) Alerts related to financial transactions

    The customer will receive message by SMS / Email about the status of all the financial transactions done by the customer through internet banking facility.

(III) Alerts related to Internet Banking Usage

    1. User Enabled

    The customer will receive a message by of SMS / Email on enabling of the password that has been disabled due to wrong entry of password by the customer in three consecutive attempts.

    2. User Inactivity Period

    The customer will receive message by SMS / Email if customer has not accessed internet banking facility for a certain period (in days) as specified by the customer.

    3. Login / Transaction Password Expiry Period

    The customer can schedule the alert to receive message in the form of SMS / Email before the specified no. of days of expiry of the passwords.

Registration Process:

All the customers of CBS branches who are users of Internet Banking can avail this facility. The registration process is given hereunder

    a. The customer logs in to Internet Banking using his login password.

    b. The customer needs to enter his mobile number and email id in the CUSTOMIZE menu option under PROFILE and needs to submit the letter to the branch in the specified format. (Customer will get alerts on the email id and mobile number so entered). Any change in the mobile number and email id needs to be communicated to the branch.

    c. The customer needs to access the menu option 'ALERTS' to select the events for which the customer wishes to receive messages in form of SMS / email.

    d. On subscribing to the alerts, the customer will receive the messages in form of SMS & EMAIL on the occurrence of the events.

No separate application form is required and the registration process is completely automated and is customer driven.

Charges:

The alerts facility will be free of cost for the initial six months thereafter the charging policy will be notified in the website.
